Welcome to my blog, and my first blog post! Actually, it’s not my first blog post. I blogged six years ago when MARQUET was first launched, supporting small business owners with communications, marketing and events.
I loved writing. Being creative and sharing. All up I wrote about 30 blog posts.
So here I am back again. Exploring my creativity, stretching myself and keeping myself accountable to doing something I love. Something I have a yearning to do. Something I don’t always find time to do. Something I need and desire to do.
Who am I?
I’m Michelle. Events are my passion. I love organising events from start to finish. Vision, strategy, action plan, and all the detail in between. Bringing to life memorable experiences. Nothing beats the feeling on the day when it all comes together.
I love being in business, connecting and collaborating with business owners, and being part of an awesome community.
When I am not doing events, I’m a soccer mum, Camino Pilgrim, walker, hiker, traveller, part time student, aspiring middle years coach, coffee and food lover, reader and writer.
I’ve been a chef, functions manager, office manager, executive assistant, events/functions coordinator, business owner, not to mention barista, kitchenhand, silver service waiter and checkout chick.
I’ve worked in Sydney, London and Melbourne in the retail, hospitality, education, community, business and government sectors.
